Conversion to Student Housing - Project address : 111 Cooper Street

Vision Painting completed the interior painting and finishing scope for the conversion of 111 Cooper Street in downtown Ottawa into 1Eleven, a premium off-campus student housing residence near the Rideau Canal and the University of Ottawa.

The scope included residential suites, bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, amenity rooms, study spaces, social lounges, fitness areas, game rooms, shared student spaces, doors, frames, ceilings, and high-use circulation areas. The work helped transform a former hotel into a modern, fully furnished student residence with bright common areas and updated interior finishes.

Because the project involved a large residential conversion with private suites, shared amenities, and high-traffic student spaces, the work required careful preparation, clean application, durable finishes, and strong coordination across multiple interior environments.

Completed for Warlyn Construction Ltd., this project demonstrates Vision Painting’s experience with adaptive reuse and student housing developments where durability, visual identity, efficient coordination, and long-term performance are essential.
